I was supposed to play a baseball game at Helfaer Field. Halfaer Field is the youth field right outside of Miller Park. I’ve been looking forward to this all summer long. It’s the closest thing to playing in the pros for me. The night started out great and we had an awesome tailgate party with the whole team. The worst possible thing happened. I felt like crying.
HUGE LIGHTING AND THUNDER STORMS HIT. THE GAME GOT CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DID I MENTION WE HAVE BEEN IN A SEVERE DROUGHT AND HAVE HAD 100 DEGREE WEATHER WITH NO RAIN ALL SUMMER LONG? WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?
😦
Oh no! When I saw the subject line in my email, I thought your favorite player had been traded, but this is almost as bad. Sorry that happened David. Maybe they can reschedule?

They will rescedule, but I’m on vacation when they do 😦
Oh David. So sorry the weather did not cooperate. But better play with a better weather conditions. Let us know when you play again.
David,
I came across your blog from your comment on observing baseball.
That’s too bad, I hope they reschedule your game. Once one of my second or third cousins got to play at halfaer Field. Do you live in near Milwaukee? My grandparents live near milwaukee so I have been to Miller Park a lot.
I was there a month ago. Checkmy blog to see the entry for that game. Good luck on getting the game rescheduled!

Sorry you’re game got rained out. As a Little League coach and dad, I know how frustrated the kids get with rain-outs. I can only imagine how you feel, though, missing out on that opportunity! I’ve been to Miller Park, and both fields are awesome. Hope you get another chance.
